Ingredients
Turmeric powder | 1 tablespoon
Basil, fresh | ⅓ cup
Apple cider vinegar | 1 tablespoon

Chef’s commentary
Vary the flavor to your liking by adding ingredients such as ground cayenne pepper, star anise, cardamom, or ginger. Have fun experimenting with different quantities and combinations. The longer you steep the ingredients, the stronger and more potent your tea will be. Agave may be a good choice because it has a lower glycemic index than white sugar, honey, or maple syrup. However, it is important to also consider the glycemic load because most people don’t just consume agave or another sweetener on its own.
